Columbus police are looking for a late model Cadillac sedan after a Columbus State University Department police officer was struck by a possible drunk driver late Friday at Broadway and 10th Street.
The officer didn’t require medical treatment after he was struck about 11:50 p.m., police said in a report.
Police were checking for a possible drunk driver in the area when the officer was struck by the Cadillac with an unknown Georgia tag with partial identification of “PQU.”
The driver is described as black, 20-30 year-old with a medium complexion. He had a thin mustache and was wearing an all white uniform.
The driver is facing a charge of reckless conduct in connection with striking the officer, police said.
