ATLANTA -- Thomas Smith's hit a two-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning to rally Georgia Tech to a 4-2 win over Clemson Friday night at Russ Chandler Field.
Clemson had scored single runs in the second and fifth innings to to take a 2-0 lead.
Matt Gonzalez got Tech on the board in the bottom of the fifth inning with an RBI single that scored Daniel Spingola.
Zac Ryan (6-1) worked two hitless innings of the relief and picked up the win.
Tech (25-16, 10-12 Atlantic Coast Conference) plays Clemson (22-20, 11-10) Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
