ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. -- Former Brookstone standout Parker Derby finished in a tie for 12th Sunday in the Georgia Amateur Championship.
Derby, who now plays at Georgia, shot a 1-over 71 in the final round to finish the tournament at 1-under 279.
Derby's former Brookstone teammate Robert Mize, who won the state amateur last year, finished in a tie for 22nd at 3-over 283.
The Columbus State golfer shot a final-round 72.
Columbus High's Stanton Schorr tied for 54th at 295 after a final-round 72.
Dru Love, who was playing on his home course at Sea Island Golf Club, won the 2015 championship in a three-man playoff.
Love, who is the son of Davis Love III, birdied the fifth hole to beat Greyson Sigg. Sean Elliott had dropped out of the playoff after making a bogey on the first hole.
