Smiths Station native Brittney Allen said she would appear on "America's Got Talent" tonight at 8 p.m. on NBC.
The singer will be performing in the second round of the reality show in hopes of passing onto the next round, the live show, after receiving the judges' approval in round one.
Allen said she received a massive outpouring of support from the Chattahoochee Valley after her previous appearance.
"It's really crazy because I went from nobody to everybody supporting me," she said.
Allen, who lives in Jacksonville, N.C., with her fiancé Will Ortiz, said she's been contacted with several offers to perform around Columbus. The Smiths Station native says it kills her to not be able to perform back in her hometown.
"I would love to play in downtown Columbus," she said. "I miss home."
Allen said she misses the Chattahoochee Valley and especially its music. Other than a potential gig at the local Buffalo Wild Wings, there isn't much of a music scene in Jacksonville.
Allen said she plans to look into the job. She wants to become a full-time musician.
Until then, Allen said she is thankful for the support of everyone back home.
"Thank you," she said to the Columbus area. "I love all of your support. It makes me feel so much better."
