A 24-year-old man was shot this morning in the 100 block of Jeter Avenue, according to a news release from the Opelika Police Department.
Authorities said the victim was flown to Columbus Midtown Medical Center for treatment. His current condition is not available.
Officials responded to the scene shortly after the shooting happened around 11:40 a.m., but no one has been charged in connection with the incident. Details concerning the shooting are limited at this time.
