The Verizon Wireless store on Veterans Parkway was closed temporarily Friday after robbers entered the Columbus business late Thursday and left employees bound with duct tape.
No one was seriously injured in the 9:20 p.m. holdup, but employees were hit with stun guns at the 6783 Veterans Parkway business.
A sign on the door Friday told visitors the store was temporarily closed but didn’t indicate when the location might reopen. Customers were directed to two other locations in Columbus and one in Phenix City.
In a report, police said the business was robbed at gunpoint sometime between 9:20 p.m. and 9:27 p.m.
Police Maj. Gil Slouchick of the Investigative Services Bureau said detectives returned to the scene Friday to look for any video that might have been operating in the area about the time of the robbery.
Detectives continue to search for leads in the case. A uniformed patrol officer was on the scene as employees and maintenance personnel entered the business.
