Three days after being victimized by a smash-and-grab burglary, a downtown Columbus skateboard shop was targeted again early Thursday .
A cinder block was thrown through the glass window at the Cuckoo’s Nest Skateshop in the 1200 block of Broadway around 4:30 a.m., owner Scott Cole said Thursday.
“It’s ridiculous,” Cole said.
Unlike the overnight Sunday incident, Cole said it looks like nothing was taken this time.
Never miss a local story.
“It doesn’t seem like they were there very long,” he said.
In the first incident, the glass door at 1250-B Broadway was smashed by a brick. The damaged door had not been fixed and was covered with plywood when the second incident happened.
On Sunday or early Monday, thieves took between $20,000 and $25,000 in merchandise and cash. Thieves took name-brand shoes such as Nike, Adidas and Vans, T-shirts and an undisclosed amount of cash from the business, Cole said.
