Columbus police are still searching for the suspect in the April shooting at a 24th Street apartment that killed 26-year-old Lavonte Thomas.
Labrandon “Big Baby” Brown, 23, is wanted on murder charges stemming from the shooting at 1424 24th Street.
Officials said they responded to that location around 11:13 p.m. April 30 and found Thomas suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Columbus Midtown Medical Center, where Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said he was pronounced dead at 12:03 a.m.
Lt. Greg Touchberry sent out a news release Oct. 2 announcing that warrants had been issued for Brown in connection with the shooting. Additional details concerning the case have yet to be release.
