A man was jailed Friday after authorities said he attempted to get a loan with a fake Florida driver’s license at the Walmart on Victory Drive.
Pharon Ellis McCall, 26, was charged with one count of identity fraud and forgery first degree at 5:02 p.m. He is held in the Muscogee County Jail for a 2 p.m. Wednesday hearing in Recorder’s Court.
A patrol officer was called to the 3515 Victory Drive store which has a Navy Federal Credit Union inside to check on an individual attempting loan fraud.
Police said McCall was in possession of and used a fake Florida driver’s license. He used the identity information for the purpose of obtaining a fraudulent loan, police said.
