The court official also said that there will be at least nine witnesses, so expect a long trial. Check it out:
The trial of Mark Herrington, who faces a murder charge in the January 2007 death of his former fiancee, has been delayed until 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Herrington, 58, is accused in the slaying of Karen Carter, 47, who was found strangled and tied up in a blanket in the trunk of her car. He was arrested days afterward, and in March 2007 he was charged with new counts of criminal solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy — charges that stem from allegations that he tried to hire men to kill his ex-wife in 2005 and 2006.
According to court officials, attorneys spent about 30 minutes this morning discussing whether a woman who recently had twins will be able to attend the trial as a witness.
