A Columbus teen was shot outside a National Guard Armory party early Sunday, police said.
The 17-year-old was outside 2505 Victory Drive at 12:37 a.m. when an unknown suspect shot him in the top of his head, said Lt. Freddie Blackmon. “The suspect was outside and shots were fired,” the lieutenant added. “There were no other victims.”
The teen was taken to The Medical Center, where he was treated and released, Blackmon said.

The lieutenant said he didn’t know if the teen and suspect had been inside the party beforehand or if they knew each other.
There is no description of the suspect, Blackmon said.
