That must have been a ruff arrest:
An arrest for a probation violation led to a suspect ordering a pit bull to attack an officer, Auburn police said.
Officers approached the Lee Road 12 home of Sylvester Deshone Turk, 28, of Tuskegee, Ala., around 3:30 EDT p.m. on Sunday. The suspect resisted officers and another man, Deardre Marcel Rush, 28, of Auburn, Ala., allegedly ordered a pit bull to bite the arresting officer on the leg, reports state.
Both men were arrested at the scene. Turk faces a charge of resisting arrest and his probation violation. Rush is charged with second-degree assault. Both were taken to the Lee County Jail, police said.
The officer wasn’t seriously hurt. The dog was taken by an animal control officer for evaluation, police report.
