Rodrecuz Boyd, arrested at an October traffic stop on outstanding warrants, was indicted Tuesday on charges including rape and aggravated sodomy.
Boyd, 30, is accused of raping a woman on Jan. 10, 2008, of holding her against her will, of forcing her to perform oral sex on him and of using a handgun to rob her of $20, his indictment states.
A Columbus police officer pulled over Boyd on Oct. 10 at 25th Avenue and Dawson Street, police said. The officer asked Boyd to step out of his car. When he told him he had outstanding warrants and tried to handcuff him, Boyd pushed himself off the car and ran, reports state.
Boyd was Tazed after a short chase and arrested, police said. A charge of obstruction of an officer stems from the alleged chase, the indictment states.
In addition to the indictments on charges of rape, aggravated sodomy and obstruction of an officer, Boyd was also indicted on counts of armed robbery, kidnapping and false imprisonment, court records state.
