A bloodied man dressed as a woman was found dead early Tuesday at 507 28th Ave., Columbus police said.
Marquell Jamal Williams, 21, was found about 12:07 a.m. in the street near the home. Blood was visible on his left ear, around his nose and mouth area.
Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley said Williams’ body was sent to the crime lab in Atlanta today for an autopsy. Worley said the autopsy showed Williams died of a spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage due to cocaine abuse.
Two police officers were called to the area to check on a person lying at the edge of the roadway. Officers first thought the person was a woman lying along the curb on the west side of the road but later learned the person was a man.
