A 27-year-old Columbus woman was beaten and robbed early Thursday on Hilton Avenue, police said.
The woman who is disabled wasn't treated at the scene but she sustained a busted lower lip in the 3 a.m. robbery.
The victim told police she was walking between Cherokee Avenue and Lookout Drive when a slim man in a black jacket pointed a pistol at her. Police didn't specify what the gunman took from the woman before he fled.
The robber was described as white, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He also wore blue jeans, a multi-colored cap and had a goatee. The robbery remains under investigation.
