A Rite Aid pharmacy technician was arrested Tuesday night for allegedly stealing more than $400 in drugs, according to a Columbus police report.
Officers responded to the Rite Aid at 6950 Beaver Run Rd. at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, where a victim informed them that a pharmacy technician had been stealing medicine.
Amanda Owens, 32, allegedly stole 260 Alprazolam pills, 360 Hydrocodone pills and one bottle of Amoxicillin -- with a total value of $424.
According to the Muscogee County Jail, Owens' charges include nine counts of possession, two counts of possession of a dangerous drug and one count of fraudulently acquiring, distributing or manufacturing a controlled substance.
