Patrick Pearson faces three counts of financial transaction card theft, six counts of financial transaction card fraud and one count of entering an auto after allegedly going on a spending spree at the mall with someone else's credit and debit cards, according to court testimony.
Pearson pleaded not guilty to all charges in Recorder's Court on Thursday.
Detectives testified in court that Pearson stole several cards out of a woman's car before heading to the mall, where transactions at both a sporting goods and shoe store in the Peachtree Mall were reported.
Pearson allegedly committed six fraudulent transactions using the cards, for a total of $2,000.
Pearson was identified using mall surveillance video.
Pearson did not make a statement in court.
Judge Michael Cielinski set $1,500 bond for each count of financial transaction card theft and fraud, and $2,500 bond for entering an auto. The case will continue in Muscogee Superior Court.
