Police responded Sunday morning to an apartment complex on Cedar Shoals Drive in Athens, Ga., after reports of banging and shouting. Officers expected a possible domestic dispute. But according to the Athens Banner-Herald, they found a "teen sex party."
Upon entering Tivoli Apartments at about 5 a.m., police found 16- and 17-year-old partygoers. The floor was "strewn" with liquor bottles, used condoms and wrappers.
Police learned that one of the attendants had earlier advertised the event on her Facebook page as a "stripper/slumber/twerk” party starting early Saturday night, according to the ABH. The paper defines twerking as "a sexually provocative style of dancing involving thrusting hip movements and a low, squatting stance."
Even given the state of the apartment, police said that none of the teens appeared to be drunk and none were unclothed, according to the police report. The party appeared to be over before police arrived; its teenaged attendants left "without incident."
Only one person, the host, was arrested. She gave a false name to police.
