Before pointing a gun at his sister, John Murray declared that his mother "did not love him, and he was going to kill himself," officials told the court.
Murray, 17, faced discharging firearms within a city limits, obstruction of a law enforcement officers and family violence-related simple assault charges during a Recorder's Court hearing Tuesday morning.
The teen's sister told police she didn't see Murray when she first opened her door Sunday morning, but later spotted him pacing in the middle of the road. He repeatedly stated that someone had drugged him and that he was going to kill himself, an officer told the court.
Murray is also accused of firing a shot in the air during the confrontation.
When police later responded to Pecan Street to investigate reports of an injured person, Murray spotted them and fled. He barricaded himself in his home for three hours before he was taken into custody.
Judge Michael Cielinski set Murray's bond at $3,000.
