Two teenagers are in the hospital after being shot at an "unauthorized" DeKalb County party this weekend attended by "about 1,000 people," according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Chardonae Meeks and Maya Scott, both 19, were grazed in the head Sunday and have been taken to Atlanta's Grady Memorial Hospital.
Police told the AJC that, "according to witnesses, a male with the victims got into an argument with a group of people. The male and two victims got into their vehicle to leave when a suspect produced a handgun and fired multiple times into the vehicle, striking the two victims."
Attendance at Wade Walker Park reportedly swelled into the hundreds. ( WSB-TV first reported the four-digit figure .) The party was promoted and heavily documented on Instagram and elsewhere , which police plan to sort through, in addition to witness interviews, in their investigation.
