Two suspected robbers made off with a 29-year-old Cataula man's vehicle and money Sunday after the victim stopped to check his tires, according to a Columbus Police report.
The man told officers he exited his vehicle after stopping on 43rd Street near Hamilton Road at about 3:15 p.m. While he checked his tires, two black men in their early 20s approached him, saying "Give it up, fool."
The victim told police he handed over $83 in cash before the men hijacked his 1997 burgandy Saturn Ion.
Police say one suspect wore a black shirt and a black and red hat during the robbery. The other wore grey pants and a green sweatshirt, according to the report.
