Police say a 30-year-old suspect shot one man in the chest and another in the right arm while confronting his ex-girlfriend on June 6, according to court testimony.
Officers began their search for Joseph Blanding three days after the shooting. He faced three counts of aggravated assault in Recorder's Court Tuesday morning after he was arrested Thursday.
The 30-year-old ex-girlfriend told police the evening began when Blanding started a physical confrontation with her while she was sitting inside a vehicle with one of the other victims. Blanding then produced a gun and started shooting at the two of them. Police did not specify which of the injured men was inside the car with Blanding's ex-girlfriend.
The injuries sustained during the shooting were not life-threatening.
Blanding later told police he had a problem with who his ex-girlfriend was seeing. The former couple has children together.
Judge Michael Cielinski set a $25,000 bond during Blanding's hearing. He was also ordered to stay away from his ex-girlfriend.
