Four people were arrested and charged with possession of meth after police investigated a report of robbery at a Fifth Avenue apartment Sunday, according to court testimony.
Ryan Adams, 27, Robert Flin, 26, Kristen Taylor, 25, and Ashley Bray, 21, faced possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana during a Monday morning Recorder's Court hearing. All defendants faced two counts of possession of drug related objects except for Flin, who faced one.
Adams has also been charged with criminal trespass and contempt of court. Those cases were continued to an unspecified date.
Cpl. Jason Swails told the court he was called to the 3200 block apartment around 2:30 a.m., after dispatch received a call from a victim who claimed he followed his robber to the complex. Police attempted to call the number provided so Swails could meet with the victim, but no one answered, he told the court.
After locating the apartment where the robbery allegedly took place, Swails spoke with Flin, who said he was unaware any crime took place in the area. Swails told the court he smelled burnt marijuana inside the apartment as he spoke with Flin and Adams.
Swails later discovered that Flin and Adams had warrants for unspecified charges, according to court testimony. They were taken into custody.
Flin gave Swails verbal consent to search the apartment, stating that any drugs found inside did not belong to him, Swails told the court. Inside, police found a single smoking device in the lone bedroom, 5.5 grams of marijuana, at least 12 used syringes with meth residue and 40 unused syringes.
Officers also found an unspecified amount of Xanax in a vehicle searched during the incident. Though Taylor was initially charged with possession of the Xanax, that charge was later dropped and added to Bray's charges, according to the Muscogee County Jail.
Judge Michael Joyner set Adams and Taylor's bond at $3,250. Flin's bond was set at $3,000. He was ordered to serve 10 days or pay a fine of $150 for false information.
Bray's bond was set at $5,750.
