Columbus police say Anthony Williams, 29, of Columbus was struck by his own vehicle late Saturday night and died Sunday morning from his injuries.
Police say Williams struck a building with his vehicle and was outside of the vehicle when it hit him.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said EMS received the call at 11:30 p.m.
Williams was taken from the location of the incident on First Avenue near the Chase Homes to Midtown Medical Center where he went into surgery. He was pronounced dead at 2:11 a.m.

Bryan said Williams died from blunt force trauma to his torso.
Bryan said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab in Atlanta will do a toxicology report.
There will not be an autopsy.
Bryan said Taylor Funeral Home is handling the burial.
