Update: Police are searching for 21-year-old Cherise Keteiana Newton in connection to the April 14 shooting death of Tony Kennedy, according to the LaGrange Police Department's Facebook page.
Arrest warrants placed on Newton include one count of murder, five counts of aggravated assault and several gang charges, police wrote in the post.
Original Story: LaGrange police are looking for leads after a man was fatally shot in the head on McGregor Street late Tuesday.
The victim was identified as 21-year-old Tony Kennedy who was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound to the head at 11:10 p.m. The LaGrange man was taken to Atlanta Medical Center after the 9:50 p.m. shooting in the 200 block of McGregor Street.
Police were called to the area to check on multiple gunshots fired when they found Kennedy. At the scene, witnesses said five men dressed in dark clothing were spotted near McGregor Street and Fendig Street. Kennedy was talking with friends when one or more of the men in the group fired multiple shots and ran from the area after Kennedy was hit.
A second man was shot at but not hit by gunfire.
Kennedy was taken first to West Georgia Medical Center and later to the Atlanta area hospital.
