Police suspect that a Columbus man may be responsible for hitting and choking a 20-year-old close to him Wednesday in a Old Colony Court residence, according to reports.
Records show Luis Quiles Jr., 44, as the lone suspect in the aggravated assault, which occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the 4900 block of Old Colony Court.
Attacked in a bedroom, the victim suffered head, face, neck and chest injuries, according to reports. The man was taken to the Midtown Medical Center following the incident, but his condition was not immediately released.
In a report, police said they were called to the hospital Wednesday at about 9:13 p.m. to discuss the incident with the victim.
Officials continue to investigate the aggravated assault.
