An 18-year-old Columbus resident told police she was choked outside of her apartment in the 1900 block of Cusseta Road, according to a Columbus police report.
Officials have named 22-year-old Tony Holloway as a suspect, but no one has been arrested in the case. An incident report states that the man was last seen wearing a gray shirt and shorts.
Authorities said they were called to the scene Monday at 11 a.m.
The victim told police the attack happened in the front lawn between 5 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. and also included terroristic threats. As a result of the aggravated assault, the teen has swelling on her neck and cuts along her right forearm, police said. Her current condition is not available.
The suspect and victim have a close relationship, and a child was present during the incident, officials said.
The case remains under investigation.
