Officials apprehended Tuesday the man who they believe wounded a 46-year-old resident in an Opelika shooting on Donald Avenue, according to a release.
Octavious Charles Bryant, 36, of Opelika was arrested on a warrant for attempted murder Tuesday at 2:01 p.m. in the 400 block of North Dean Road in Auburn, Opelika Police Capt. Shane Healey said.
The U.S. Marshal’s Service and the Auburn Police Department assisted in the capture of Bryant. He was booked into the Lee County Jail, where he remains pending bond, Healey said.
Bryant’s arrest stems from the May 27 shooting of a 46-year-old Opelika man in the 800 block of Donald Avenue, the officer said.

Opelika police declined Wednesday morning to release additional information concerning the ongoing investigation.
