A 59-year-old man told authorities he was attacked Monday night near 38th Street, according to a Columbus police report.
Authorities said the Columbus victim was transported to the St. Francis Hospital in an ambulance and treated for swelling and bruising to his cheek and eyes. He was in fair condition, police said.
The report indicates that police have yet to identify or arrest anyone in connection to the 6:01 p.m. attack.
At about 6:50 p.m. Monday, police met with the victim, who said he was in the street when a stranger punched him in the face. The victim didn’t give an exact location of the incident.
