Nearly two weeks after the partially decomposed body of a Newnan, Ga., man was found in woods near Greenville, the Meriwether County Sheriff is seeking leads in the death of Kenneth Michael Spice.
The body of Spice, 31, was found June 15 in woods in the 100 block of Primrose Circle. He was last seen by a relative about 5 p.m. June 10 at the Walmart on Bullsboro Drive in Newnan.
He died of a gunshot wound and Sheriff Chuck Smith said his death is investigated as a homicide. “We are looking for anyone with information about this homicide or anyone who may have seen Kenneth on this date after the hours of 5 p.m.,” Smith said today.
Spice was wearing a blue T-shirt with “Yamaha” written on the back, blue work pants and tan boots. Near the area where his body was found, authorities found a white 1996 Ford F-150 pickup with a missing tailgate. It was the vehicle driven by the victim.
Anyone with information on Spice’s death should contact investigators at the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office at 706-672-4489 or the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office at 770-253-1502.
