A 27-year-old Columbus woman was wounded in an early Sunday shooting on First Avenue, authorities said.
She was transported to St. Francis Hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the left thigh area, according to a Columbus police report.
Officials said they were called to the 2800 block of First Avenue Sunday at 4:30 a.m. in response to a person with a gunshot wound. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the woman injured.
The victim told police that Christopher T. Hino shot her on the front porch between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. She described him as a white man with a birth date of March 23, 1985.
No additional information was released.
The case remains under investigation.
