Update: Lashanina Williams, 23, was arrested 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Public Safety Center. She was charged with aggravated assault and transported to the Muscogee County Jail.
Her 8 a.m. hearing was rescheduled for Friday, July 24 in Recorder's Court.
Original Story: Columbus police said they are searching for the Columbus woman who allegedly hit a 27-year-old man with a car Saturday in the 3900 block of Evergreen Street.
The victim was sent to the Midtown Medical Center Emergency Room, where he was treated for unspecified leg injuries, according to the report. He's listed as in good condition.
At 11:50 p.m. Saturday, two officers were called to the intersection of Trask Drive and Fort Benning Road in reference to an assault that occurred at a nearby location, the report states.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in an Evergreen Street parking lot when he was struck by a vehicle between 8:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Police did not release any details about what led up to the alleged attack. Authorities listed 23-year-old Lashanina Williams as a suspect. She is a 5-foot-5 tall black female with brown eyes, black hair and a butterfly tattoo on her chest. She lives in an apartment in the 1900 block of Cusseta Road, police added.
