An undercover drug operation has led to the arrest of a Stockbridge, Ga., woman on trafficking in methamphetamine charge, Columbus police said Friday.
Julie Marsehgill, 45, was taken into custody outside of 2500 Airport Thruway at 2 p.m. Friday. She also faces one count each of sale of meth and use of a communication device to facilitate crime. She was taken to the Muscogee County Jail and held without bond for an 8 a.m. Friday hearing in Recorder's Court.
In a report, police said Marsehgill's arrest stemmed from an undercover drug operation by the Special Operations Unit. The operation started on July 7 and ended with the suspect's arrest on Friday.
Police said 29.9 grams of meth were seized during the operation. The drug has a street value of $2,990.
