Four Auburn people were taken into custody Sunday in connection to a burglary in the 1900 block of Overlook Court in Auburn, according to a release.
Carissa D. Williams, 21, and three juveniles were charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree theft of property. Williams was transported to the Lee County Jail, where she will be eligible for bonds totaling $6,000. The teens were sent to the Lee County Youth Development Center, where they will await a dentition hearing, police said.
Around 6 p.m. Sunday, Auburn police responded to a burglary in progress at an Overlook Court home. People were seen carrying televisions out of the residence, loading them into a vehicle and fleeing the scene.
Officers conducted a traffic stop within a short distance of the residence and took three of the four suspects into custody. The fourth individual was located in the area later that evening and taken into custody, the release states.
Police said they found the stolen property, which costs more than $1,200, in the same vehicle the suspects were traveling in.
The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible, authorities added.
