The Columbus woman who allegedly struck a man with a vehicle was released from the Muscogee County Jail July 18 on a $5,000 bond.
Lashanina Williams, 23, was scheduled to appear in Recorder's Court today to face one count of aggravated assault stemming from the July 11 incident. She posted bond before the preliminary hearing, according to officials with the Muscogee County Jail.
The 27-year-old victim told police July 11 that Williams hit him with a vehicle in the 3600 block of Evergreen Street, causing leg injuries. The man was transported to the Midtown Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition after being treated for unspecified leg injuries, police said.
Authorities weren't able to find Williams immediately after the incident, but she was taken into custody four days later at the Public Safety Center.
