Man in critical condition following 28th Avenue shooting
The two gunmen who shot a 58-year-old man early this morning on 28th Avenue are on the loose, Columbus Police said.
The victim was transported to Columbus Midtown Medical Center in an ambulance to receive treatment for multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and arms. He's currently in critical condition, according to a report.
Columbus Police said they were called to a shooting in the 300 block of 28th Avenue at 12:46 a.m. They found the victim lying in the driveway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the report states.
Witnesses told authorities that two black men who appeared to be between 19 and 24 years old are responsible for the incident. They said the attack occurred between 12:01 and 12:45 a.m.
A report indicates that one suspect has a slender build and low haircut, but officials haven't provided a detailed description of the other individual.
Witnesses suspect that the alleged shooters fled the scene in either a gold two-door coupe or a small SUV.
