Homeless woman in poor condition after Fourth Avenue beating
A 45-year-old homeless woman was brutally beaten early Wednesday in a Fourth Avenue residence, authorities said.
Perry Alan Lisenby, 52, of Columbus was identified as the attacker and arrested on aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and obstruction of a law enforcement officer charges. He was booked into the Muscogee County.
Lisenby is set for an 8 a.m. hearing Friday in Recorder’s Court.
Columbus Police said they were called to the 3400 block of Fourth Avenue in reference to a woman screaming from a vacant dwelling.
Authorities said they arrived on the scene and found the woman with a bloody face. She told responding officers that Lisenby pushed her and repeatedly kicked her in the face and chest.
Officials said the victim, who complained of chest pains, was rushed to Midtown Medical Center for treatment. She was listed in poor condition, the report stated.
