Four people held at gunpoint in 21st Street home invasion

Four people between the ages of 15 and 74 were held at gunpoint during an overnight home invasion on 21st Street, according to Columbus Police.

Officers said the only person who was injured was the 54-year-old victim who received a small cut on his hand. Reports indicate that he wasn't treated immediately following the incident.

Authorities said they were called to the 1100 block of 21st Street around 12:44 a.m. today to check on a possible burglary. Police spoke to the 74-year-old male homeowner on the scene.

He told the responding officer that he was on his porch when someone put a pistol to his head and forced him into his own residence. A 53-year-old woman, 15-year-old boy and 54-year-old man who also live in the 21st Street home were also held at gunpoint during the home invasion, according to reports.

The incident resulted in less than $500 worth of property damage, officers said.

Officials haven't described or listed any possible suspects in the incident. The case remains under investigation.
