Man, 24, shot to death in parking lot at Super 8 motel
For the second time this week, a Columbus man was gunned down late Friday in the parking lot of the Super 8 motel while sitting in a car.
Travis Coleman, 24, was pronounced dead of multiple gunshots at 11:32 p.m. at the 2905 Warm Springs Road business, said Chief Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley. His body will be transported to the crime lab in Atlanta Monday for an autopsy.
The death remains under investigation.
Coleman is dead two days after a man was shot to death in a car Wednesday at Riverwind Apartments in Oakland Park.
Police said Darwyn Jaleel Taylor, 22, died of a gunshot wound to the dead in the 3:50 p.m. shooting at 1811 Riverland Drive.
No arrest has been made in that homicide as police continue to check leads in the case.
