Police: Woman charged, man injured in knife assault

Columbus police charged a 23-year-old woman with aggravated assault Sunday after a dispute at a Milgen Road apartment, officers said.

Michelle Purdue of 4712 Milgen Road is accused of attacking a 27-year-old man with a knife, striking him in the head and leaving lacerations, investigators said.

The incident occurred in a bedroom between 8:45 and 9 p.m., police said. An ambulance took the victim to the Midtown Medical Center for treatment.

The man previously had filed complaints involving Purdue, officers said.
