Farr Road shooting leaves two injured, one facing assault charge
A dispute has left two men in the hospital and one charged with assault in connection with a Thursday night shooting on Farr Road, Columbus police said.
The 40-year-old victim was treated for a gunshot to the right leg after an 11 p.m. shooting in the 500 block of Farr Road. He was in fair condition at Midtown Medical Center.
Police arrested 29-year-old Anthony Story who was charged with aggravated assault. He was taken to the Muscogee County Jail after he was treated for three gunshot wounds, one each in the stomach, left and right legs, at St. Francis Hospital. He was charged after he was released.
Anthony is held for an 8 a.m. Monday hearing in Columbus Recorder’s Court.
In a report, police said the two men were on the porch when gunfire erupted.
