Auburn police treating death as homicide
Police in Auburn, Ala. are treating the death of a man as a homicide.
According to a police report, it was approximately 2:20 p.m. Saturday when officers responded to an unresponsive man lying in the roadway of Lee Road 2177 near the intersection of Lee Road 2179 in southwest Auburn.
The area is near an abandoned trailer park.
The black male, who appears to be between 30 and 40 years of age, was pronounced dead at the scene by Lee County Coroner Bill Harris.
His body will be transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death and for identification.
