Officials investigating bank robbery on Milgen Road
Law enforcement officials responded at 11:51 a.m. Friday to a bank robbery at Wells Fargo on 5590 Milgen Road.
According to a release from police, a black man “entered the business armed with a handgun and robbed the bank of an unknown amount of U.S. currency.”
He left in a gold or tan Ford Fusion, police said.
Officials described the suspect as 5-foot-8 to 6-foot with a slim to medium build. He was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, hat and a red bandana covering his face. He also wore white gloves and white shoes.
Anyone with information about the suspect should call 911 or 706-653-3400.
The bank will reopen Monday, an employee said. Customers can use the ATM at the location as well.
Robbery suspect was described as a "tall black male" seen traveling in a gold car, according to police.
