Police: Man accused of nudity at KFC on Manchester Expressway

A 29-year-old man was arrested Sunday night after he allegedly approached the KFC drive-thru on Manchester Expressway completely nude, according to authorities.

Justin Jett Jackson, 29, of Moultrie, Ga. was apprehended at 1934 Manchester Expressway approximately 20 minutes following the 7:10 p.m. incident. He was charged with public indecency and transported to the Muscogee County Jail under a $250 bond.

His hearing is set for 2 p.m. today in Columbus Recorder’s Court.

According to a police report, the business manager checked the outside of the restaurant after he heard a scream through the drive-thru speaker. He then spotted a man police later identified as Jackson standing by the drive-thru lane naked.

He said he gave the man cardboard box to cover up with until authorities arrived.

An officer who responded to the scene said he recognized Jackson from a previous encounter on Young Avenue, where the suspect was wandering in boxer shorts.

“I assisted Mr. Jackson, at the time, in acquiring pants and a shirt,” the officer said. “He stated he was going to walk and wait for a ride that was from Atlanta.”

The officer said he questioned Jackson multiple times about what he did with the clothes he was given earlier. He initially responded “I took care of them,” but stated that “the girls at the pool took them,” according to the incident report.

The official said he was transporting Jackson to jail, when heard the man utter, “I shouldn’t drink so much.”

Police have yet to confirm whether the suspect was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
