Four individuals were taken into custody Saturday morning following an attempted bank robbery at the Wells Fargo on 18th Street, according to Columbus police.

Police Maj. Gil Slouchick confirmed that Dexter B. Thomas, who faces an aggravated assault charge, was one of the people taken into custody in connection with the incident. He was booked into the Muscogee County Jail for a Columbus Recorder’s Court hearing set for 9 a.m. today.
