Police investigate car fire on J.R. Allen Parkway

Columbus police were called to a car fire late Wednesday on the J.R. Allen Parkway at Bradley Park Drive.

Police Lt. Warren Dunlap said one vehicle was involved in a crash shortly before 10 p.m. before the car ignited in flames. No driver was found inside the vehicle, he said.

Police were checking the vehicle for information to help locate the owner.

During the investigation, the stretch of road remained open on the parkway.
