Georgia's math, reading scores grow for 2013; Alabama far below national average

Every two years, U.S. Department of Education's National Assessment of Educational Progress releases an assessment of the reading and math scores of fourth and eighth grade students across the country, broken down by state. The bad news is that Georgia's scores for fourth and eighth grade students are below the national average. The good news is that they aren't below the average by much at all.
