Superintendent David Lewis will recommend the appointment of Dana Thompson as director for the Muscogee County School District's early success centers.
The recommendation will be made Monday night at a Muscogee County School Board work session.
The session will begin at 5 p.m. in the Muscogee County Public Education Center on Macon Road.
Thompson is currently a shared assistant principal for Reese Road and Gentian elementary schools.
She has previously served as an assistant principal at Britt David Magnet Academy, J.D. Davis Elementary and Wesley Heights Elementary.
Lewis will also be recommending Patricia Woodall as shared assistant principal at Dimon and St. Mary's Elementary schools.
Woodall is currently an academic coach for math at Brewer Elementary School.
In other business:
The board will discuss raising the price of adult meals in the schools from $3 to $3.75.
Lewis will be asking the board for approval on a proposed 2014-2015 Pre-K school calendar which is funded for 180 instructional days and eight teacher planning days.
The board will hear an update on the current status of transitioning from the Academic Success Center program.
The board will also hear an update on gifted education in the school district.
A construction status report as well as reports from Chattahoochee Valley Libraries and the Columbus Museum will be given.
