Superintendent David Lewis will ask the Muscogee County School Board to approve a 2015-2016 school calendar at its meeting Monday night.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Muscogee County Public Education Center on Macon Road.
The board agenda does not say what the calendar Lewis will present looks like. At a work session last week, Lewis presented a calendar with a proposed March 14-18 spring break which District 4 representative Naomi Buckner pointed out is winter.
Lewis presented an Option A calendar which starts the school year for teachers July 27 and for students Aug. 3 and an Option B calendar which starts the school year for teachers Aug. 3 and Aug. 6 for students.
Option A has two planning days at the end of the school year and a fall break Oct. 9-12.
Option B has five planning days at the end of the school year and no fall break.
Board members asked for another option.
