The Muscogee County School Board will vote on four assistant principal appointments Monday.
The board meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Muscogee County Public Education Center on Macon Road.
The board will also likely vote on principal appointments at Fox Elementary School and Lonnie Jackson Academy but the names of those to be recommended by superintendent David Lewis are not listed on the meeting agenda because final reference checks are being made.
Monique Maben is being recommended as assistant principal at Dorothy Height Elementary School. Maben currently serves as an academic coach in the MCSD. She has taught here at Wynnton Elementary School and Johnson Elementary School.

LaShonda Milledge-Miller is being recommended as assistant principal at Double Churches Middle School. She currently serves as an academic coach in the MCSD. She is a former teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School.
Emily Wilson is being recommended as assistant principal at Eagle Ridge Academy. She currently serves as academic coach in the MCSD. She has taught at North Columbus Elementary School and St. Elmo Gifted Education Center.
Kevin Aviles is being recommended as assistant principal at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary. He currently serves as assistant principal at Villa Rica Middle School in Carroll County, Ga.. He is a former special education teacher. He served as assistant principal at Bowden High School in Carroll County.
In other business:
The board is expected to vote on the recommended budget of $8,106,365 for Chattahoochee Valley Libraries for fiscal year 2016.
The board is expected to vote on a policy for public participation at board meetings.
Consensus proposed revisions to the policy have struck the requirement for a citizen to address an agenda item only and gives citizens more time to get on the agenda.
District 8 representative Frank Myers wants a sentence added to the policy: "No one is vested with the authority to deny a citizen their right to address the Muscogee County School Board provided the citizen has satisfied the notice requirements referenced in this policy."
He wants board members, not just the superintendent, to be informed of who wishes to speak.
The board is expected to vote on the approval of the general fund budget for fiscal year 2016.
A vote should be taken on the school nutrition budget for fiscal year 2016.
The superintendent is asking for approval of a revised student behavior code handbook for 2016.
